...LT took the prize! Nevermind that it cost her more than a monthly payment on a Maserati...she was thrilled!




The dollies were all "dolled up" for the 2010 Gala...the theme was Hawaiian, and Nita brought us all gorgeous dresses and Hawaiian flower necklaces! Even 1970's Ken got in on the action! Almost all of us got "leid"! LOL!

A great big "GG thank you" to "Dazzle" for arranging a wonderful cardmaking event! The staff at the Stamp Addict was very helpful in pre-cutting all the card pieces for us, so we basically just had to assemble the items! Everyone brought a little appetizer to snack on, too! What a great day! So good to see each other! Enjoy the pix!

2009 Holiday Hoopla

A toast in memory of our dear GG, Cizzle, an ornament exchange, great food & drinks, wonderful fellowship, creative crafts and fun was had by all at our 2nd Annual GG Christmas Event.

Lisalicious meets B.G. at long last!

As some of you might be aware, blogging has become a big part of Lisalicious' life. So much so, in fact, that she recently traveled all the way to the windy city to attend a blogger's convention called "BlogHer". One thousand women (mostly) who like to type, in one hotel. Crazy fun was had by all. Some more than others. Lisalicious was one of the "others". Shocking, I know!

The highlight of Lisalicious little plastic life was finally getting to meet the totally hot "Bathtub Gangsta", a.k.a. "B.G.". She dressed in her fishnets, high-heeled black plastic boots, mini-skirt, silver halter, and black PVC jacket in hopes of catching his eye. Since his eyes are painted in one position, she wanted to ensure her outfit was a real "head-turner"!

His smokin' hot little shirtless plastic body was almost too much for Lisalicious to handle. Fortunately, she had been blessed by Mattel with 17 points of articulation, and was able to put all those other Bratz to shame.

At the convention, they attended several break-out sessions together...("B.G." is shown here with his "mommy", Happy Hour Sue!).

They even had a romantic evening out! "B.G." wore his trademark bling, and Lisalicious dazzled in her sequined gown by "Dolce & Can-bend-ya"!

My friend Susan sent me the most awesome quote today. "Friends are the family you choose". How perfect is that?!

We GGs all seem to have chosen each other, for one reason or another...the Gala was just a catalyst for us all to forge what will surely be life-long friendships. It is with unfathomable sadness that one of us is no longer "physically" among us, but we will always hold such fond memories of our dear "Cizzle" deep in our hearts.

Her smile could light up a city block, her kindness was without bounds. One could always depend on her for WHATEVER was needed...help with a project, or just a friend to listen. God seemed to know that more people like Cindy are needed in the world, which is why He gave us Deb!

We will miss you, Cindy, but one day, we will all be GG angels together! (I hope my wings and halo won't clash with my GG t-shirt!) Yes, I am trying to make myself laugh so my tears don't ruin my keyboard.

Wine with Sass!

LT, Cizzle and Dazzle struck a pose near their favorite wine label! The pink labels screamed at them from across the room, luring a closer viewing. So, they obliged!

Lisalicious' Delicious Dishes!

Last Wednesday, Lisalicious had a "lunch meeting" with a friend at a FABULOUS sandwich shop called CALIFORNIA GRINDERS. Now, I ask you, could the name be any more appropriate?!!

Selected for her by the gorgeous shop co-owner Yvonne (a.k.a. Flippa), Lisalicious sampled the delectible sandwich featuring thick slices of mozzarella cheese and red-ripe beefsteak tomato, embraced by balsamic vinaigrette, and enveloped in fresh ciabatta bread. YUMSKA! The usual basil was replaced by lettuce, at Lisalicious' request. "The customer is always right"* at California Grinders, and if you prefer your sandwich made a special way, there is never a problem.

Accompanying her delicious "sammy" was a generous helping of freshly sliced fruit, and a "brownie bite". Since the "brownie bite" had nuts, and "you are what you eat", Lisalicious gave it to her friend. She is already "NUTS", as we all know!

Though there were not many seats to be had, as this is a popular lunch spot amongst the trend-setters of San Diego, the gorgeous (did I mention she's gorgeous?!) co-owner was kind enough to GIVE Lisalicious' owner AN ACTUAL CHAIR!!! It will soon be painted black, and will be instrumental in upcoming dance lessons.

Gris-Socia FOUND!!!The Kidnappers Returned Her!!

She was returned by some bad, bad terrorists..............they dropped her outside her home with a cloth over her head so she would not recognize them..........The last time she was seen by her family was before a trip tp Palm Desert............There was an impostor there pretending to be her but NO!!! That was no the real Gris-Socia!!! This is the real Gris-Socia!!!! She is a bit in shock.....please don't bombard her with too many questions..............she is still processing the experience......................

She was at the bathroom sink for quite a while........................We'll see what tomorrow brings......

Lisalicious Christmas Wishes!

On a more serious note...what a year it has been! We have proven ourselves a force to be reckoned with! We had a record-breaking fundraiser of a gala (with another on the way), took our first annual trip to Palm Desert, cried some tears, laughed MANY laughs (usually at me, I know...), created dolls in our own likenesses (we are a bit wacky, no?!) and wonderful artwork (Deb's took the CAKE, of course). We provided each other with a support system like I have never known, all while taking care of our families! We fed the homeless, walked for those with breast cancer, donated our time and money to many charities, and spread love and kindness. We shared the joy of each others company often, but never often enough. We ROCK, and will continue to do so in 2009! Here's to you, my GGs...May the new year bless you all with health and happiness. I will treasure your friendship always!

Happy Holidays, GGs!

Well, it's that time of year again...always seems to sneak up on us, doesn't it?

We all got into the holiday spirit recently as we cooked up an Italian themed dinner and served it to the homeless women downtown at Rachel's House. It made us all feel good, and the women were very appreciative.




We then got even more festive over at Dazzle's digs...she served up some wicked good soup that I am really going to try to make one day (I swear!--I bought the Rice-a-roni already!). There were lots of yummy desserts, too!

Dazzle is one of the more creative of the GGs, and let me tell you, we have a VERY creative group!!! She kindly presented her cardstock, gluesticks, scissors, twine, glitter, buttons, and markers, and we all got to make gift card holders and gift tags! I had so much fun! The tags were just so cute...I think people would buy them! We should DEFINITELY make up a batch to auction at the Gala!






Above is just a "little something" that Shugga "whipped out in two seconds flat". Cindy added her lovely handwriting, and BAM! A Christmas greeting just like that! Sickening.

There was also an ornament exchange, where more than "ornaments" were exchanged !






The competition was fierce for a Christmas doll that Shugga spent FOUR HOURS crafting by hand! It was truly an exquisite creation!








Lisa-licious ended up with Flippa's "Joy"...and no batteries were involved! Imagine that!







Dazzle got the "cupcake" ornament that she wanted, and C2 got "cross" when she thought she might not go home with her fave ornament, but was triumphant in the end.







A great time was had by all, and we thank you, Dazzle, for welcoming us into your lovely home!
